How Does a Chiropractor Help People Remotely?

Since setting up a virtual practice in 2021 I often get the question, “How does a Chiropractor work virtually?” It’s a fair enough question. Typical chiropractic treatments involve manual therapies, most notably chiropractic adjustments. What most people don’t know is that, much like medical doctors, chiropractors can specialize after they complete their doctorate. They can become specialists in everything from sports injuries, personal injuries, pediatrics, geriatrics, functional movement, functional neurology, physical therapy and nutritional therapy. While I could have had a virtual practice singularly focused on nutrition, my focus tends to go to other aspects of my clients health. For the record, I do include nutritional counseling in sessions when indicated. However, mama already told you to eat your veggies, so if you didn't listen to her, you wouldn't listen to me.

Think about it…is there something you could do today that would improve your overall well being that you aren’t already doing? If you’re being honest with yourself, most of you will say yes. So why aren’t you already doing it? The answer is complex, but it has to do with your past and your survival instincts. More on that later.

A Chiropractor is a licensed health care professional who emphasizes the body’s ability to heal itself. And the body does heal when the conditions are supportive for healing to take place. So what creates the conditions? These are things like your environment, your community, your habits, how you eat, how you play, how you rest, how you breathe, how you think and what you believe. What you believe affects your biology and every thought that you have creates a cascade of chemical changes within your body.

My speciality has become understanding the conditions that affect your ability to heal, identifying the obstacles towards healing and equipping my clients with the ability to navigate through their obstacles. People have referred to this kind of work as mind-body healing, energy psychology, trauma relief work, neuro-emotional healing, spiritual coaching, shadow work, light work, intuitive healing among other names. My mentor and friend, Dr. Roland Phillips, named his particular brand of healing The Emergence Process because your healthiest self already exists within, it simply needs to emerge.

What does health even look like? Is it 6 pack abs, gym memberships, restrictive dieting or meditating everyday? The answer is no, even though those things can be part of a healthy lifestyle. Health looks like the integration of your body, mind, heart and spirit. The benefit of this work is being more at peace with yourself and the world. It’s a more joyful experience of life. It’s being able to give and receive love wholeheartedly. It’s being able to naturally make healthy choices with ease and without the use of will power.

The consequence of this type of healing is often the reduction of symptoms. Types of suffering that I’ve seen dissolve away in the last few months with my clients are:

Anxiety

Depression

Chronic pain (head, neck, low back and hip)

Chronic Fatigue

Phobias

Suicidal thoughts

Insomnia

Digestive disorders

Neuropathy

Menstrual issues

Acne

Weight loss

Broken relationship (mother to daughter, husband to wife)

If you’d like to know more about how this can specifically help you, reach out to me directly through email or drjakehyde.com and I’d be happy to have a complimentary conversation with you. And when I say “happy” I mean happy. I am passionate about this type of healing and would love the honor of being part of your journey.
